LCR Meter/Impedance Analyzer

MICROTEST LCR/Impedance Analyzer measures the electrical properties of passive components (inductors, capacitors, resistors), including inductance, capacitance, resistance, quality factor, dissipation factor, and impedance.

6632/6632S Impedance Analyzers operate from 10Hz to 50MHz and offer features like sweep analysis, multi-step listings, and Meter mode measurements. They come with built-in measurements of dielectric constant (εr) and magnetic permeability (μr), eliminating manual calculations or extra software. 6632S model supports seven different equivalent circuit models for a faster and more precise understanding of parasitic components' impact on impedance.

For LCR testing, there are high-frequency 6630 series (1M/3M/5M/10M/20M/30M/50MHz) and basic 6360 series (20k/100k/500k/1MHz) options.

6630 series is ideal for automated production line testing, especially for high-speed production, while the 6360 series is suitable for general quality control and incoming material inspection (IQC).

An LCR Meter/Impedance Analyzer can be equipped with a DC Bias Current Source to analyze the magnetic saturation changes in inductors caused by current during operation. The DC bias current source test system provides the 6632/6632S+ and 6350+ series, analyzing and verifying the magnetic saturation current (Isat) and temperature rise current (Irms) of the inductor.

MICROTEST 6632C is designed for ESR measurement of capacitors from 10 Hz to 10 MHz, supporting performance evaluation across a wide frequency range. In Meter Mode, it provides real-time ESR readings. In Sweep Mode, it analyzes impedance (Z) and phase (θ) vs. frequency to identify the Self-Resonant Frequency (SRF), revealing high-frequency behavior. With a built-in ±12 V DC bias, it performs direct bias sweeps for fast C-V curve plotting. The integrated dielectric constant (εr) function streamlines dielectric parameter analysis.
